Now that we have finished Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat, I would like to know if you enjoyed the book. Please take a moment to think about your favorite part in the story, why was it your favorite? Now write a description of your favorite part and why it was your favorite part.

My favorite part of Emmy was when we meet the rat. The rat appears to be in a foul mood. He is not very nice at all. But who can blame him, he is stuck in a cage and eating gross rat pellets. The rat thinks Emmy is too nice and needs to learn to stand up for herself. However he does not have a nice tone or way of saying things. Emmy gets all flustered and yells at him. I loved how the rat seems all tuff until Emmy hurts his feeling because he is stuck in a cage.
This was my favorite part because we see the relationship that Emmy and the rat are going to have. Emmy seems to be very patient with him. I thought this part was very funny. I even felt bad for the rat. This is a memorable part of the story for me.
